To the Women of Redemption Gilbert

It is our sincere hope that you feel welcomed, loved and accepted from the very first time you attend any of our monthly gatherings, to our weekly electives or our special events.

We understand that women have a lot going on in their lives. Responsibilities weigh heavy on us with family, jobs & life. This is why it’s so important that we come together, to study and encourage one another in the fact that we are not alone in this journey here on earth. We pray you will be blessed by our ministry and look forward to meeting you very soon!

The R/Women Leadership Team,
Tami Feenstra, Deb Moon, Krista Pratchard  & Sherry Simon

MORNING CLASSES

The Calvary Road
10 weeks | $20 | Room 207
Laura Zamora and Meredith Berg
The Calvary Road by Roy Hession is a tiny, but powerful book filled with the wonderful Gospel truth of God. Published a few years back (1950), it is still compelling today! This class will teach you how Jesus can fill you with His Spirit through brokenness, repentance and confession. This class will provide an intimate setting with small group discussion and homework is done together in class.

Abraham
10 weeks | $20 | Room 208
Patty Zowada
Abraham trusted God, although he did not know where he was going and was promised many things that were not fulfilled in his lifetime. He trusted God and walked with him through infertility, war, famine, uncertainty, threats to his family and lived as a nomad in a hostile land. Then Abraham was asked by God to make the ultimate sacrifice. Could he surrender his only son to God? In this 10 week study, we will learn why Abraham is our father in the faith, how he became a blessing to the whole earth, and how the covenant promises given to him were ultimately fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Homework: 2-3 hours/week.

A Loving Life
6 weeks | $20 | Room 201-202
Marilyn Tuck and Barbara Lehrman
A Loving Life by Paul Miller is a six week study that will look into the lives of Ruth, Naomi and Boaz to help us understand how loyal, covenant love can transform us and our relationships. How do we love with no love in return? How do we love when no one notices or cares? The book is an encouraging presentation of God’s love for us in Jesus and offer the help we need to embrace relationships, endure rejection and reach out to even the most unlovable around us as we discover the power to live a loving life!

Parenting
6 weeks | $20 | Room 211-212
Julie Berger and Jill Warren
If you find yourself nurturing a child or young person in your life, we invite you to join us for a six week course on the fascinating subject of parenting. During each class, we will devote extensive time to discussing real life issues as we highlight the principles given in Paul David Tripp’s book, “Parenting”, as well as discussing the engaging topics of various guest speakers invited to our time together. We look forward to encouraging one another (parents, grandparents and loved ones alike) as we look to actively apply the gospel to the children we adore.

Community Fabric
9 weeks | $20 | off campus
Hitomi Mewhinney and Krista Pratchard
Join us in blessing the foster care families of Redemption Gilbert! Each week a small team of women will meet at the home of a different foster family and complete a service project, such as house cleaning, organizing or yard work. This is an off-campus elective; however, on-campus childcare is available from 9:00-11:30. You’ll receive a weekly email that provides details for that week’s project!

EVENING CLASSES

Humble Roots
6 weeks | $20 | Room 208
Jeanelle Eatinger and Amy Casaldi
Hannah Anderson wrote her second book, “Humble Roots,” not as a sequel to “Made for More” but a continuation of the other side of our identity with God. As Hannah Anderson explains, “We often misunderstand humility
as a heightened awareness or our deficiencies, but humility is better
understood as an awareness of our limitations as human beings. Our
ability to rest and be at peace is tied directly to whether humility is
taking root in our lives”. Join us for this 6-week course as we read
and discuss what God’s Word says about each particular aspect of
humility intertwined with a plant metaphor.

Hymns Class
6 weeks | Cost: $20 | Room 201-202
Beth Border and Faith Herrera
It’s important to reflect on and remember who God is and what He’s done. Hymns have the unique ability to not only share truth of God’s Word through song, but the stories behind the hymns and hymn writers bring an additional depth and power to their meaning. Join us for this 6-week class for a time of devotion, reflection and encouragement as we look at how hymns speak to trust, faith, hope and the gospel. No homework.
