About Connor McKenzie
I am the youngest member of a family of four. I graduated from Mountain Pointe High School in 2014, and am currently enrolled as a student at Grand Canyon University. Moreover, I am in the process of earning a bachelors degree in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Biblical Studies.
God in His loving sovereignty gave me faith in Jesus Christ during a Redemption summer camp going into my seventh grade year. Sadly, the next five years of my life were filled with wild debauchery and anxiety. Unfortunately, during this time period I became the president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club at my high school, and hid the lifestyle I had been leading from many.
In my first week of college God in His mercy restored the joy of my salvation, and placed me in a Christocentric community. Ever since, God has graciously exploded His joy into my life, and removed significant sin from it.
I currently serve as a 7TEN intern for Redemption Gilbert where I get to help college students and young adults get connected to RC groups within the ministry. Additionally, I assist in the setting up for 7TEN, and I work with the guest services team on Sundays. I also sometimes get to do food runs for my coworkers.
Outside of the workplace you will probably find me doing homework in Peets Coffee, playing sand volleyball, or randomly nailing some high-arching 3 pointers on the basketball court with Paul, Jed, and Cory.
